Back in the US!

Hi everyone!

I had a second so I thought I would check in.

I’m back in the US! Currently I am in Los Angeles playing in the East West Bank Classic. The tournament is going well so far. I played Yung-Jan Chan and Samantha Stosur in the first couple rounds here and I’m still alive. I’m playing good tennis and I always enjoy LA so it’s a good combination. My agent, John Tobias, made the trip to watch yesterday so it was good having him in the stands as well.

I’m here for a couple more days and then it gets really crazy. The Olympics start August 11th and I can’t even describe my excitement about representing Belarus. Beijing should be a fun trip and hopefully I’ll bring home a medal!

That’s it for now, but I’ll check in soon. Thanks for stopping by!

  24. Iceman Says:

Tennisweek has a press release saying that you will be playing Memphis this year! Thank you so much for visiting my city, and I’ll be in the stands cheering. Check out our trees in Memphis– more trees per square kilometer than any other American city. When you fly in, look out the window of the plane; it looks like you’re flying into a forested city. We also have the best water in America– it comes from the Memphis Sands Aquifer and it is over 4,000 years old. It’s so pure they only add flouride to it. Come on down to Memphis, Vika; I think you can win this tournament, too!
